Historically, LGBTQ+ dating shows have been iconic, chaotic, hilarious, and dramatic. Unfortunately, though, there haven't been that many of them in comparison to the flood of dating shows we get for straight people.

From chaotic bisexual dating shows in the 2000s to attempts of making queer versions of The Bachelor to free-for-all shows where LGBTQ+ cast members can all explore connections with one another, there have been a few "creative" approaches to adapt this format for queer people.

While some of these shows were clearly not taken as seriously as their straight counterparts, LGBTQ+ people have historically been looking for representation wherever they can find it… and that's still true to this day!
