Bloody Show
Overview
When heavy bleeding occurs towards the end of a woman’s pregnancy as her body prepares for labor and delivery, it is referred to as “bloody show.” It is a frequent feeling in late pregnancy, and depending on the person, it may be accompanied by other labor-related symptoms like cramps, pelvic pressure, and contractions.
Bloody show and cramping may occur simultaneously in some women. Bloody show looks like a jelly-like streak of blood.
