Fox News’s Gutfeld! swept the late-night competition last week as Greg Gutfeld’s eponymous show aired live head-to-head with the likes of Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon following the Democratic National Convention.
Gutfeld! regularly lands atop the cable news ratings in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic, but last week beat Colbert and his fellow late-night hosts in both total average viewers and in the demo — despite them reaching into more homes on broadcast networks.
Jimmy Kimmel came in third with 799,000 total viewers and 170,000 demo viewers, all according to Nielsen ratings.
The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon was not far behind with 731,000 total viewers and 189,000 demo viewers.
Gutfeld continues to co-host The Five, the top-rated show in all of cable news, and his late-night show landed in second place overall in the second quarter of this year with 2.1 million average total viewers — making him, without doubt, the most-watched host on cable news.
